I'm Carl Hayes, founder of Simply Spoilt Canine, and I personally lead every Adventure Club walk. I bring more than 15,000 hours of professional experience, a deep understanding of dogs and the fitness for proper countryside adventures.
Each group is smaller, familiar and carefully matched. Together, we explore the best of our countryside: proper Quantock hikes, quieter hidden gems, selected Forestry England woodlands and routes I've come to know through years on the ground.
I know the places. I know the dogs. And I know how much the right combination can add to their lives.

A proper adventure
New scents, changing terrain and time to explore give your dog plenty to do with their nose, body and mind. There is ground to cover and a world to investigate, with the pace shaped around the dogs.

I build groups that can enjoy moving through the countryside together. Dogs have room to develop friendships and practise being comfortable around one another, without every encounter turning into a chase or a burst of excitement.

Your weekly Adventure Club membership includes:

A reserved recurring place: familiar company and a regular weekly adventure, personally led by me.

Collection and return: secure transport, with around an hour of active countryside adventure in addition to travelling time.

Care after the trail: fresh water, a treat you have approved, and towelling or a warm rinse when needed. A light dog-safe finishing scent is optional and agreed with you.

Their day, shared with you: photographs and a personal report after every adventure. The client app brings updates, schedules, messages and account information together.

Adventure Specials are optional, separately priced outings. They can include longer hikes, sunset walks, selected secure-field socials and seasonal adventures, with each outing offered according to suitability, weather and availability.

Since 2021, I have built Simply Spoilt in Bishops Lydeard through lasting relationships with dogs and the people who love them.
I've helped nervous dogs grow in confidence and dogs who once reacted on walks become calmer in situations they previously found difficult. Owners who have switched to Simply Spoilt tell me they feel the difference.
That work is in the details: reading body language, creating space early, choosing quieter routes and knowing when a dog is ready for more. Some thrive with carefully chosen companions. Others need my undivided attention. I make that decision for the dog.

One-to-one dog walks with me
Individual attention and an outing shaped around your dog's pace, preferences and needs. For dogs who benefit from having me to themselves.
Dog training and handling support
Practical help with loose lead walking, recall, confidence and reactivity. I work with you and your dog on the difficulties affecting your walks and daily life.
VIP Companion Visits and gentle walks with Carol
My mum Carol looks after the quieter side of Simply Spoilt. Her 30- and 60-minute companion visits bring company, play, enrichment and care into your dog's own home, with photographs and an app update for you.
She also offers gentle local short walks for suitable dogs who enjoy a relaxed stretch and sniff.

Before your dog joins.
How do you choose the groups?
I consider each dog's temperament, confidence, energy, pace and ability to travel and walk comfortably with the existing dogs. Groups stay smaller and familiar. A place is offered when the match works for everyone.
Can my nervous or reactive dog join?
Possibly. I assess each dog individually. Calm handling, appropriate companions and quieter routes can help some dogs; others need one-to-one walking or training support. Group membership has to suit the dog and the existing group.
Does my dog need to be very fit?
We will discuss their age, fitness, mobility and comfort with countryside terrain before choosing the right service. Adventure Club groups need compatible paces. A private walk, gentle short walk or companion visit may be a better fit.
How long will my dog be out?
The regular Adventure includes around an hour of active countryside walking. Collection and return travel are additional, so total time away varies with the route and collection round.
Which areas do you cover?
I am based in Bishops Lydeard. The core collection area is the Quantock villages, including routes around Cotford St Luke, Oake, Kingston St Mary, West Bagborough and Crowcombe. Selected Taunton areas are covered where they fit an existing round. Send your village or postcode and preferred days so I can check.
How do we get started?
Request availability below. I will check your location, days and service needs, then arrange a free Meet & Greet where there is a suitable opportunity. An introductory or trial adventure may follow before a recurring place is agreed.
